For my inter-titles research I viewed other existing movie trailers, with a similar theme to my movie trailer. I looked into movies trailers such as, Gone Girl, The Black Swan, Prisoners, and Shutter Island. In the Gone Girl, I particularly picked out the way the inter-title was placed in the same shot with the actor/actress, showing clearly the name of which actor is starring in the movie. In Shutter Island trailer I like the way the titles were bold and easy to read, making them stand out. In The Black Swan trailer, I picked out the different effects used at the bottom of each inter-title, which linked in to the theme of black swan, as features were shown. For the Split trailer the inter-title were placed in the middle of the page, centralised to emphasis the attention, and the text was also very large, and bold. These inter-titles were also placed on black background, and with the writing being white, it was easy to read.
Common Features of Inter-title:
- Bold and simple text/ stands out
- Easy to read
- Placed in a certain position continuously in each shot
- Linked to them/ font style
