When editing my movie trailer, I realised that some of many shots I have planned are flash backs, and in order for the audience to understand, which scene is flashback scene, I decided to use features of an recording camera settings, to make the shot look like it is footage of the past. The purpose of this is to make the audience be more aware of the narrative.
The Green Screen:
Created using Sketch, adding a green background, and then adding in other features of a recording camera picture, such as Recording feature, date, time and battery level.
Editing the shots:
When editing the shots, I used the crop tool to crop any unnecessary filming, making each shot fit into the trailer nicely. I used the colour effects tool, which allowed me to change the contrast, brightness, saturations and hue. Due to this tool I managed to make the different shots look in a different way, for example, the flashbacks scenes, look like they are old because of the effects used in them, as seen in the screenshots below.
I also adjusted the clips by stabilising the shaky videos, making the filming look more professional. I cropped the clips, to fit the screen, focusing the centre of the clip where I believed was most appropriate, achieving the type of shot I was looking for.
